A mandated report written by a team of 17 scientists proclaimed that all future NASA missions should involve searching for signs of extraterrestrials . The report published by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering & Medicine (NASEM) discusses the significance of astrobiology. Only by investing in astrobiology will we figure out the origins of humanity and how life may have evolved on other planets.
